Direct Primary Care

Paying for your basic healthcare does not have to be complicated or expensive and you can achieve a lot of savings if you cut out the overhead needed to bill insurance.

Direct Primary Care is a new approach to paying for basic health services. DPC is a monthly membership model for primary care based on an annual contract. It includes enhanced access including phone, by mail and eventually virtual visits (e.g. by Skype, etc.) It is also reasonably priced, unlike concierge medicine.

What is included with Direct Primary Care?

Your basic health maintenance is a big part of Direct Primary Care. Being healthy is important for many reasons and routine office visits may help prevent a medical problem from becoming bigger by catching it earlier. Routine visits are included in the plan with no copay required. Here is a list of some of the things which are included:

  • Annual Preventative Exam
  • Office or Virtual Visits
  • EKG
  • Urinalysis
  • Blood Glucose
  • CBC
  • PPD (TB Test)
  • Xray (up to 10 images per  year)
  • Hemoccult
  • Urine Pregnancy
  • Spirometry
  • Hearing Test
  • Ear Irrigation
  • Nebulizer Treatments
  • Flu Shot
  • Well Baby & Child Check

The best way to optimize this type of service is by scheduling a wellness visit to go over your entire medical history. Having a list of prior medical problems and surgeries, allergies and medications will also help us get a good picture about you and your families health. There are many inclusions and there are some things which you may need to pay extra for. These are outlined completely in our in-office paperwork. We have a full lab and x-rays on site so we can provide the services our patients need.

Direct Primary Care is NOT insurance and will not cover your medications, emergency room visits, hospitalization or specialist fees. It works best with high deductible insurance plans. Though Direct Primary Care may not replace your insurance, we have resources to direct you to reliable specialists or imaging facilities.
